oh where, oh where, has the new blogger gone?

yep, i knew it. it is very hard for me to commit to blogging on a regular basis. it's not like i don't want to. between the tween and the princess my days are full. add the holidays and my plate is runeth over.

the weekends have been busy, but fun. let's get the weekend recap started....

friday: the princess was in a christmas parade with her dance team. the tween, the princess, and i sat in so. much. traffic getting to the darn thing. i managed to get her to the staging area at the very last minute. aaahhhh. i really don't like being late. the tween and i found a parking spot near BFE. very frustrated up to this point, we grab our blanket and jackets and hike back towards the parade route. once i caught a glimpse of the princess performing all my frustration went away. i will never tire watching her perform. the tween even gets into the excitement. after the parade, we were freezing. well, so. cal. freezing. we had a yummy dinner topped off with some yummy hot chocolate.

saturday: the hub finally came home. he has been working so much lately. i appreciate all that he does for our family. i hope he knows how much i am thankful to him. ah, i digress. saturday morning started off with soccer. the princess is in a soccer academy and will have practice every saturday through january. the hub missed her first practice due to work, so he was very eager to go. i will be perfectly honest, it was kind of nice to have the house to myself for an hour and a half. i should have done laundry, but instead i caught up on tivo. what's a girl to do?

a weekend wouldn't be complete without a trip to costco. we headed there and after an outrageous amount of stuff bought we were home and putting it all away.

i have always wanted to go to the mission during christmastime. about 600 pm i thought that now is as good as time as any. i talked the hub into going. we stopped at old spaghetti factory and had a nice dinner. even a few cocktails;) we walked over to the mission inn and all four of us were in awe of all the beautiful lights. they really go all out there. very worth the trip. we can't wait to go back next year.

sunday: the morning found me getting ready in a milisecond to meet j and j for brunch. good friends, good laughs, and good food. what more can you want? i think i had one too many bloody marys and i saw myself getting a horrible headache. the hub was great when i got home and let me take a little nap. we capped off the weekend with dinner at grandma g's. it was, as always delicious. it was not delicious, though how fast the weekend flew by. the hub is back to work for a few days and it is business as usual around here.

till next time

I finally caved

i have wanted to start a blog for some time now. i wondered if people would read it once i started it. would i have anything interesting to say? would i commit to blogging on a regular basis? i finally said "what the heck. what do i have to lose?"

i am thinking it will be quite therapeutic to sort out my thoughts and see them in print.

it will take me a little while to figure out all the settings for blogger. bear with me.
